The Trees

When I was young child, in the summer time, I would always sit in a chair surrounded by a bunch of trees. The leaves would always tickle my shoulders, so my dad would always tell me that the tree monster is going to get me (since the feel of the leaves sometimes felt like human hands). I would always laugh this off.

On my seventh birthday, my mother and father guided me outside in a blindfold and sat me in the chair. When I say down I felt the leaves tickle me. I giggled and ignored it. My parents took off the blindfold to reveal a new pool! But when I turned around I noticed something odd. The trees surrounding the chair had been chopped down.
